Religiosity, as a person's understanding and knowledge of the values contained in the religion he adheres to, has an important role as a strategy or coping effort in managing conditions to understand the meaning behind the difficulties and sufferings experienced, and can strengthen individuals by becoming better. Therefore, this study aims to explore the prevalence of religiosity in junior high school students. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research. This study involved 365 students aged 12-16 years who were selected using random sampling techniques. Data collection techniques and instruments use religiosity scales that have been tested for validity and reliability. Then the data is analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results of the data analysis showed that the average level of student religiosity was in the medium category, namely 216 students (59.2%), while the remaining 78 students (21.4%) were in the high category, and 71 students (19.5%) had a low level of religiosity. The findings in this study highlight variations in students' levels of religiosity, thus providing a foundation for the development of educational strategies, especially guidance and counseling programs that are more holistic and comprehensive towards the development of student religiosity that can have an impact on the development of mental resilience as well as students' psychological well-being.
Diki Herdiansyah Mufied Fauziah Copyright (c) 2025 Sociocouns: Journal of Islamic Guidance and Counseling 2025-10-11 2025-10-11 5 2 81 102 10.35719/sjigc.v5i2.545 Pengembangan Modul Pencegahan Kekerasan Dalam Pacaran Pada Siswa SMP https://sociocouns.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/sociocouns/article/view/546
This study aims to develop a dating violence prevention module (KDP) as a medium for guidance and counseling services for junior high school students. The research objectives are: (1) to design and develop a dating violence prevention module tailored to students’ needs; (2) to assess the feasibility of the module based on evaluations by media and material expert validators; (3) to evaluate the module’s feasibility based on user assessments from guidance and counseling teachers; and (4) to determine the module’s effectiveness in enhancing students’ understanding of dating violence prevention. This research adopts a research and development approach using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Participants include two expert validators, three guidance and counseling teachers, and 71 junior high school students for the limited field trials. Data collection utilized validation questionnaires, teacher assessment scales, and student pretest and posttest instruments. Data were analyzed descriptively to evaluate the module’s feasibility and inferentially, using normality tests and paired sample t-tests, to determine effectiveness. The results indicate that the dating violence prevention module was rated “very feasible” by both media and material experts and received the same rating from guidance and counseling teachers. The effectiveness test revealed normally distributed data and a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). This finding confirms that the module is effective in improving students’ understanding of dating violence and can be utilized as a preventive tool in classical guidance services at schools.
Angelia Margareta Dian Saputri Antonius Ian Bayu Setiawan Copyright (c) 2025 Sociocouns: Journal of Islamic Guidance and Counseling 2025-10-11 2025-10-11 5 2 103 114 10.35719/sjigc.v5i2.546 Analisis Pelaksanaan Layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling oleh Guru BK di Sekolah yang Tidak Diberikan Alokasi Jam Masuk Kelas https://sociocouns.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/sociocouns/article/view/516
This study aims to examine the implementation of Guidance and Counseling services in schools that do not provide regular class time allocation for Guidance and Counseling teachers. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were obtained through interviews and observations during introduction to the school field at Senior High School AL-ISLAM Krian. The results of the study indicate that limited time allocation is the main challenge in providing comprehensive Guidance and Counseling services. Guidance and Counseling teachers only get the opportunity to enter the classroom twice in one semester, so the service is more reactive and does not reach all students evenly. To overcome these obstacles, Guidance and Counseling teachers implement adaptive strategies such as utilizing social media, collaborating with homeroom teachers and subject teachers, and integrating into extracurricular activities. These findings indicate that the effectiveness of Guidance and Counseling services is highly dependent on creativity, time management, and school policy support. The research recommendations emphasize the importance of reviewing the policy of class time allocation to support the success of comprehensive and sustainable Guidance and Counseling services in the educational environment.
Ida Nur Qomariyah Agitha Wigati Yulistyo Maradika Faza Salsabila Ummahatul Nur Amelia Ayong Lianawati Copyright (c) 2025 Sociocouns: Journal of Islamic Guidance and Counseling 2025-10-11 2025-10-11 5 2 115 130 10.35719/sjigc.v5i2.516 Implementasi Layanan Bimbingan Kelompok Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus Tunanetra di SKHN 02 Kota Serang https://sociocouns.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/sociocouns/article/view/553
This research aims to describe the implementation of group counseling services for visually impaired children with special needs at State Special School (SKHN) 02 in Serang City. Group counseling services are one of the guidance and counseling strategies that aim to help students develop social skills, independence, and self-confidence. The research used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of group guidance services at SKHN 02 Serang City was carried out through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. In practice, guidance counselors face obstacles such as limited media, time constraints, and the heterogeneity of visually impaired students' abilities. However, this service has been proven to help students build effective communication, increase self-confidence, and practice social independence. These findings indicate that group guidance can be a strategic alternative in optimizing the potential of visually impaired children in inclusive schools and special schools.
Ramadan Rahmadani Ijaji Ninda Falah Yuniar Septiyani Putri Rahma Dewi Arga Satrio Prabowo Copyright (c) 2025 Sociocouns: Journal of Islamic Guidance and Counseling 2025-10-11 2025-10-11 5 2 131 142 10.35719/sjigc.v5i2.553 Pengintegrasian Teknologi dalam Kegiatan Need Assessment Siswa di Indonesia: A Systematic Literature Review https://sociocouns.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/sociocouns/article/view/82
Need assessment activities are one of the keys to success in planning guidance and counseling services in schools. With the rapid development of technology today, researchers and practitioners are encouraged to develop various tools and media for guidance and counseling activities, including need assessment. The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze what instruments have been integrated with technology by experts to support need assessment activities. The method used in this study is a systematic literature review that applies the PRISMA standards. Literature was collected through the Scopus and Sinta Ristekbrin databases. The results of the systematic literature review indicate that several types of need assessment products integrated with technology have proven to be effective and efficient, including Potensia Apps, a computer-based need assessment instrument application, Acceptability of Mental-Health Mobile App Survey (AMMS), a management information system for problem checklist tools (DCM), a web-based DCM, Hybrid Mobile Sociometry, and an AUM PTSDL processing application (SP-AUM PTSDL Version 1). Therefore, this study recommends that researchers and practitioners apply and empirically test these products in other research locations and develop them further in order to improve them for the sake of providing quality guidance and counseling services based on student needs
Ahmad Wahid Yarmis Syukur Neviyarni Neviyarni Kanaya Yose Putri Sri Cahaya Sihombing Copyright (c) 2025 Sociocouns: Journal of Islamic Guidance and Counseling 2025-10-11 2025-10-11 5 2 143 160 10.35719/sjigc.v5i2.82 Penurunan Perilaku Membolos Siswa melalui Pendekatan Konseling Singkat Berfokus Solusi https://sociocouns.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/sociocouns/article/view/319
This study aims to explore the effectiveness of Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) in reducing student truancy behavior. Employing a guidance and counseling action research methodology, the research involved three 11th-grade students identified with habitual truancy. The SFBC approach emphasizes problem resolution by identifying precise solutions tailored to students' challenges. The study was conducted over two cycles, each comprising four stages: planning, implementation of SFBC, observation, and reflection. In the first cycle, a reduction in truancy was observed: student A decreased from 7 to 4 instances, student B from 4 to 2, and student C from 5 to 3. The second cycle demonstrated a more significant decline: student A from 4 to 1, student B from 2 to 0, and student C from 3 to 1. These findings suggest that SFBC is an effective intervention for mitigating truancy among students.
Dwi Ratnawati Wahyuningsih Budi Purwoko Bakhruddin All Habsyi Copyright (c) 2025 Sociocouns: Journal of Islamic Guidance and Counseling 2025-10-11 2025-10-11 5 2 161 172 10.35719/sjigc.v5i2.319 PELATIHAN SOSIAL-EMOSI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN EMPATI SISWA DI SEKOLAH INKLUSI JEMBER https://sociocouns.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/sociocouns/article/view/548

Inclusive education aims to create an equitable learning environment for all students, including those with special needs. However, the dynamics of social relations between regular students and special need students remain a serious challenge, particularly in the form of limited empathy and persistent negative stereotypes toward special need students. This study seeks to examine the effectiveness of Social-Emotional Training in enhancing empathy among regular students in inclusive schools. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design, involving 25 students from TPA Jember Inclusive Vocational School, divided into experimental and control groups. The training was conducted over two weeks and encompassed five social-emotional components: self-awareness, emotion regulation, behavior monitoring, empathy, and social skills. Empathy was measured before and after the intervention using an empathy scale adapted from Bryant’s Empathy Index. Mixed ANOVA analysis revealed a significant increase in empathy among students in the experimental group compared to the control group (p < 0.01), with an effect size of 48.3%. These findings indicate that social-emotional training can foster empathy among regular students and support the development of an inclusive social environment. This study provides practical contributions to the advancement of psychosocial intervention programs in inclusive schools.

Arrumaisha Fitri Copyright (c) 2025 Sociocouns: Journal of Islamic Guidance and Counseling 2025-10-19 2025-10-19 5 2 173 184
